On macs, use the OPTION key instead of RIGHT-ALT. Accents are typed after the base letter.

  • Type the SEMICOLON key ; for the breve accent, as in ă, ĕ...
  • Type the RIGHT BRACKET key [ for the long-tilde accent, as in a͠a... The accent is typed after the between the two vowel keystrokes.
  • Opening and closing quotes:
    • single: ‘ GRAVE — ’ APOSTROPHE
    • double: “ SHIFT+RIGHT BRACKET — ” SHIFT+BACKSLASH
    • single ‹ RIGHT-ALT+SHIFT+9 — › RIGHT-ALT+SHIFT+0
    • double « RIGHT-ALT+9 — » RIGHT-ALT+0
