In the following notes, the hyphen is used to separate keystrokes.  So (k-a) is "k" followed by "a", not "k", "-", "a".

Notes:

  • All keys are represented by their a-value.
  • Syllabics are formed by a final + vowel. For example, the (m) key produces ᒼ and the (e) key produces ᐈ. So when you type (m-e) (ᒼᐈ), the syllabic ᘋ appears.
  • All of the syllabic series which do not have a final, are displayed by a half size character (such as ,ᣡ,ᣖ,ᣟ, etc.). By typing a vowel afterwards, the full syllabic is produced.
  • To avoid syllabics from combining, use the Shift key. e.g. (k-a) is ᗺ, (k-A) is also ᐠᐊ.
  • Ejective consonants can be typed either by shifting the non-ejective key (ᗧ is shift-T+a), or by typing the glottal stop (apostrophe-key) after the final (ᗧ is t+'+a)
  • All changed punctuation marks are accessed by typing the "special" key ¤ followed by the appropriate punctuation key.
