On macs, use the OPTION key instead of RIGHT-ALT. Accents are typed after the base letter.

  • Type the SLASH key / for the dot accent, as in ġ, ḣ...
  • Type the GRAVE key ` for the grave accent, as in the Saskatchewan orthography’s c̀ and s̀
  • Type the LEFT BRACKET key [ for the macron accent, as in t̄, k̄...
  • Type the RIGHT BRACKET key ] for the acute accent, as in á, é... This accent is not generally used in the White Hat orthography.
  • Opening and closing quotes:
    • single: ‘ SHIFT+GRAVE — ’ APOSTROPHE
    • double: “ SHIFT+LEFT BRACKET — ” SHIFT+RIGHT BRACKET
    • single ‹ RIGHT-ALT+SHIFT+9 — › RIGHT-ALT+SHIFT+0
    • double « RIGHT-ALT+9 — » RIGHT-ALT+0
